Grant Orientation Meetings for Recipients of FY2010 Maryland Heritage Areas and Maryland Historical Trust Grants
All recipients of FY2010 grants from the Maryland Heritage Areas Program and the Maryland Historical Trust Non-Capital and Museum Advancement Programs are required to send at least one representative to a MANDATORY orientation meeting at one of the locations listed below.
Orientation meetings are ONLY for FY2010 grant recipients, not prospective applicants.
Grant recipients will learn about the contracting process, required documentation, payment procedures, and reporting requirements.
Grant Orientation meetings will begin one hour before the Funding Opportunities Workshops at each of the locations listed below and will last for approximately one hour. Attendees are invited to attend the Funding Opportunities Workshops immediately following the Orientation Meetings.
Funding Opportunities Workshops For Historic Preservation and Museum Projects
The Maryland Historical Trust, in cooperation with the Maryland Humanities Council, Preservation Maryland, Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), and the State Highway Administration offers an afternoon workshop on grant opportunities for heritage preservation projects. This event provides audience members an overview of preservation and museum funding programs, highlighting priorities for the up-coming fiscal year and contact personnel for each grant program.
The workshop features Capital, Museum and Non-Capital MHT grants and grants offered by the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority and Maryland Traditions (a cooperative program of MHT and the Maryland State Arts Council). Grant programs from the Humanities Council, State Highway Administration, DHCD, and Preservation Maryland will also be fully described. In this one afternoon, participants will come away with an understanding of funding opportunities available for the coming year.
The workshop is free, though participants are asked to register so that we may provide appropriate handouts. If you are new to grants, bring along other staff and volunteers to hear these presentations.
Please call Bernadette Pruitt at (410) 514-7650 with questions.
